On Saturday the name of the horse will be drawn and we will find out who starts in Barrier 8. If the horse from Barrier 8 wins the Melbourne Cup, then our chosen charity “The Kyle Andrew Foundation” will receive $50,000.

This Saturday at Broome Turf Club we will be celebrating National Jockey Day!✨ National Jockey Day is about remembering and honouring the incredible achievements of Australian jockeys, both past and present and raise awareness and funds for the National Jockeys’ Trust. The National Jockeys Trust provides support for former and current jockeys, and their families who are in necessitous circumstances as a result of serious injury, illness, or death of a jockey. A minute of silence will be held at 12pm to pay our respects, followed by a blessing of the track. Let's come together as a community and show our appreciation for these extraordinary athletes.
